AMD Radeon HD 8000 series detailed

Competition in the graphics market intensified in the last few months with NVIDIA releasing its powerful GK104 graphics core and AMD retaliating with the launch of the AMD Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition video cards featuring an updated Tahiti graphics core. Still, the real battle is ahead of us with NVIDIA readying the GK110 core and AMD finishing the next generation of graphics cards – the Radeon HD 8000 – also known as "Sea Islands". Today more information on the upcoming Radeon HD 8000 family was unveiled. It is now clear that the new family will (not surprisingly) have four sub-families. The so-called Venus core will represent the top of the line – it will have the staggering 5.1 billion transistors produced on 28 nm technology at TSMC. The core is also expected to have 2560 stream processors, 160 texture units, 32 or 48 ROP units as well as a 384-bit memory bus. AMD promises Venus will be 40% faster than the current AMD flagship – the Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition. AMD Radeon HD 7970 Moving down the line we reach the mid-high-end core Sun – it will consist of 3.2 billion transistors packed in a 230 square millimetre die. The stream processor number will be reduced to 1536, the texture units (TMU) will be down to 96, the ROPs will be 32 and the memory bus width will be 256-bit. The Oland core will be budget-to-mid-end – it will have 1.7 billion or 2.0 billion transistors for 768/896 stream processors. The TMUs will be either 48 or 40, while the ROPs will be 16 for all versions. The memory bus width will be cut down to 128 bits or in the best-case scenario to 192 bits. Finally we have the budget-oriented Mars core featuring just 900 million transistors for 320-384 stream processors. The TMUs will be 20 or 24, while the ROP units will be either 8 or 16. The memory bus width will be budget-oriented too with its 64 or 128 bits. The Sea Islands GPUs are likely to work at even higher frequencies than the current Tahiti cores. The new GPUs are expected this winter. yen sao hitech review hue tourism vietnam weight loss cute girl dac san hue how to solve rubik how to tie a tie how to be pregnant how to cv what is fashion trends visit vietnam ky nang ban hang kinh doanh quoc te ngu phap tieng anh de thi dai hoc luan van ngan hang luan van thac sy bao cao thuc tap Quan tri kinh doanh Anh van giao tiep Bao cao thuc tap ke toan Bao cao thuc tap khach san Luan van bao chi Luan van van hoc Luan van sinh hoc Luan van hoa hoc Bao cao thuc tap xay dung Bao cao thuc tap co khi Bao cao thuc tap cong nghe thong tin Bao cao thuc tap nhan su Bao cao thuc tap quan tri kinh doanh De an giao duc

State bank continues tightening ceiling interest rates

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) on September 28 issued a new circular focusing on abuses by banks trying to apply deposit interest rates higher than the permitted ceiling level of 14% per annum. Circular 30 continues tightening ceiling interest rates Under Circular 30, the ceiling interest rate for dong deposits with no term or terms shorter than one month is 6%. The ceiling on deposits with a one-month term or longer remains unchanged at 14% per year. People's credit funds are allowed to apply the highest deposit rate for one-month term or longer at 14.5% per annum. The new circular will come into force from October 1. The SBV has also banned banks from offering promotions for deposits such as cash and preferential interest rates. Earlier, the SVB issued Circular 02, requesting all commercial bank to apply a ceiling deposit interest rate of 14% per year. However, a number of them, including Western Bank and An Binh Bank, sought ways to attract customers by offering a maximum rate of 14% per year for deposits of one-day, two-day, one-week or two-week terms. GDP growth acceptable, says PM

PM Nguyen Tan Dung said that the low GDP growth rate of 5.2-5.7% this year is acceptable when the relatively stable economy and maintenance of social security are taken into account. PM Dung In the national workshop held by the Ministry of Planning and Investment on July 4, PM Dung highly praised the positive changes in the socio-economic situation during the first half of the year, even though most economists do not expect the National Assembly's target for growth to be met this year. The GDP growth rate target was 6-6.5%. However, the Minister of Planning and Investment, Bui Quang Vinh said, "A growth rate of 6% would only be possible if growth reaches 7.2-7.5% in the last two quarters. This is highly unlikely considering the rate of growth in the first half of the year." Some international financial institutions have reduced their estimates for Vietnamese growth to rates that also do not meet NA targets. The World Bank reduced their forecast to 5.7%, the IMF downgraded their expectations to 5.6% and HSBC to 5.1%. A growth rate of 5.2% would be the lowest in the past decade for Vietnam. Still, the PM pointed out some reasons for optimism, in particular the export rate has risen 22%, while imports reduced. The country's foreign reserves have also risen from USD9 billion last year to USD19 billion in only six months. The Ministry of Planning and Investment will issue a report for its socio-economic development plan for 2013 to the Government in September. The plan will then be submitted to the NA. Vietnam tours

Services boom during university entrance exam period

Annual college and university entrance exams offer a good occasion for various services to boom and earn big money. On July 3 when pupils came to schools to complete their exam procedures, tea stands and cheap canteens around schools in Hanoi where the exams take place boomed; while guest-house owners look to line their own pockets. Parking fees increase to VND10,000 (USD0.47) At 5 a.m, Nguyen Thi Minh sets up her tea stand in front of the University of Transport Technology. At every university entrance exam, her and her husband move the stand from Nguyen Trai Street to near the university on Trieu Khuc Street. She's acquainted with the local authorities and pays out to grab the best location. Competition among sellers is fierce. During last year's entrance exam, she earned nearly VN10 million (USD476) from selling sticky-rice, tea and renting out chairs. A cup of ice tea costs VND15,000 (USD0.7), including a fees for the chairs. Nearly 20 tea stands have been set up around Water Resources University and Trade Union University. This morning, early rain brought a chance for many shops to sell raincoats, and newspapers also sold well around schools. Food near to exam areas have also increased. Each bowl of instant noodles and bread has gone up by VND5,000-10,000. Lottery sellers, fortune-tellers, beggars and multi-level sales brokers can all be found. Many girl students offer parents and pupils leaflets advertising studies at vocational training schools if they fail. Exorbitant guest house prices Nguyen Cong Minh from the northern province of Nam Dinh has to spend up to VND500,000 (USD23.8) a day to hire an air-conditioned room in a guest house opposite the school for his son because he is afraid of overcrowding at Hanoi University. He will have to spend nearly VND3 million (USD0.142) for a five-day stay for the exam. Nguyen Thi Tam whose daughter is taking an entrance exam for Hanoi University of Technology will also spend up VND2 million (USD95.23) to rent a room for four days. The room measures less than 10 square metres and on the third floor. Many guest-house owners hang around schools to invite pupils. Room prices depend on their condition, ranging from VND100,000 (USD4.76) to even VND1.5 million (USD71.4) per day. The price an be double or triple for a luxury room. Nguyen Van Minh on Tay Son Street, Hanoi, said that during every entrance exam period, his family leases four floors to pupils to earn money. He can earn VND20,000 million (USD952.38) for just several days. Vietnam tours

Top showbiz girls backed by benefactors

Behind every model and pageant queen's success is the huge contributions made by the promoters and fierce competition to the top. Hoang My at Miss Vietnam 2010 Most of the promoters are male but they have real talents in furthering their clients. In business, the girls and promoters sometimes agreed on specific 50-50 profit share or 70-30. But sometimes they don't have a rate but instead an agreement to let promoters become their manager once the girl succeeds. If the girl doesn't have a good education, the promoter will sign her up immediately into some foreign named school in Vietnam. The promoter takes care of everything from asking for favours for their charge to hiring necessary personnel, and interview skills. The promoter even goes out and buys underwear and does the needlework if need. Therefore, competition between promoters is also harsh. Some promoters will write anonymous denunciations letters or spread unfounded rumours. That's a reasons why the organisation board of Miss Vietnam had to verify Luu Bao Anh and Trinh Chan Tran education and family background before final night. An overseas Vietnamese beauty returned to Vietnam to join Miss World Vietnamese had cried because a promoter had tricked her out of her prize money. One of the most powerful promoters is designer Viet Hung, and although he would never admit to being a promoter, his contribution to the success of Miss Vietnam 2006 Mai Phuong Thuy for three years is undeniable. He turned Thuy from a naive girl into Miss Vietnam. Most of Thuy's interview answers were gone through by Hung before he parted ways with her. Different from the peaceful parting of Thuy and Hung, the relationship between promoter Phuc Nguyen and Miss Vietnam runner up 2010 Hoang My ended badly. Phuc Nguyen accused Hoang My of being ungrateful when she did not spend 30% of the money on charity like she promised. My also raised her remuneration from USD200 to 500 a few days after receiving the runner up title. In response, My said Phuc Nguyen did not invest in her two years but only five months. She did bring the money for Phuc Nguyen but he refused to meet her. My further accused Nguyen of wanting her take a photoshoot with model Ngoc Tinh to create a 'love scandal'. Make up artist Minh Hoang also told his own story with Miss Sea 2010 Lam Thu Hang. At first he only accepted to do make up for Hang on the final night but she called and told him about her lonesome and he decided to help her in the competition. "I told her I'll help her if she has such desire to win. We decided that she would take care of my accommodation expenses and I'd take care of her costumes, make up, and press interviews over the ten days." Hoang said. However, after Hang made it to Top 5 and gained the Miss Sea title, he accepted the invitation to do make up for Miss Vietnam 2008 Thuy Dung. "Hang texted me, she said I should take the money from doing Dung's make up to pay her back the plane tickets and hotels fees. I couldn't believe that she could change that much." Hoang shared Vietnam tours

Wild foods become trend in Vietnam

The dangers of chemical use in agriculture and livestock products has turned many households to seek out more natural products in the marketplace. Wild foods trend in Vietnam In some of Hanoi's markets customers have been seeking out wild fish and vegetables instead of those grown in farms, despite their higher prices. Nguyen Thi Loan, the owner of a grocery store in a temporary market on Tran Cung Street, Cau Giay District, said, "These types of foods are not always available because of limited supplies, which are harvested by local farmers and need to be collected from remote areas Many of these places have daily markets, but there is often not enough." Nha, another shop-owner, said, "Vegetables in general are not selling well, but wild products has been trendy lately." Numerous shoppers see buying wild produce as a way of protecting their families' health, and are willing to pay the extra money to do so. One such consumer, Nguyen Thu Thuy, from Tu Liem District, said, "These days you have to be very careful about the food you eat. I don't mind paying a bit more to make sure my family is eating good food even though prices can be three or four times higher." Vietnam tours
